Laser cladding is the technology of high-eneregy laser beam (104-106w/cm2) radiation on the metal surface meanwhile additive alloy powder to form a new layer of low dilution rate to make up the shortage of the base material, of which the process of melting, spreading and solidifying swiftly to cladding a layer of material with a special features on the base. It would be cladding the metal and nonmetals as the needs, such as the heat resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, fatigue resistance or optical, electrical and magnetic properties. It is the technology of high efficiency that it would make the eminent properties layer on the base of affordable material. That would save the cost.
